Pensarn Chapel was built in 1795, enlarged in 1806, rebuilt in 1833 and altered again in 1875. The present chapel, dated 1875, is built in the Simple Round-Headed style of the long-wall entry type. By 1998 the building was no longer in chapel use and by 2004 the interior had fallen into dereliction.
